Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy

Clients come to see me for a wide variety of issues — anxiety and stress, self-esteem, grief, depression, and problems in relationships, to name just a few.

Over the course of time, I have developed a special niche working with adult individuals who struggle with anxious thinking, often in the context of social situations; sometimes, but not always, they identify themselves as introverts. Most suffer from frequent crises of confidence or chronically low self-esteem, thinking at times that there must be something wrong with them, and they feel that what they are experiencing is keeping them from living the lives that they desire.

Groups

I offer small therapy groups for adult individuals who identify social anxiety as a problem in their lives; please contact me for more information.

Complimentary Visits

I offer a 30-minute visit free-of-charge to give prospective clients the chance to get to know me better, for me to learn more about them, and to help both of us decide how (or if) we want to proceed together.

Insurance

I do not process paperwork for insurance claims. I will provide a receipt at the end of each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Be certain that you understand your coverage before you schedule your first appointment with me, and let me know if you are going to want a receipt. Note that in most cases, I will be considered an “out of network” provider by your insurance company.

Rates

Typically, I charge $100 for a 50-minute counseling session. I am able to offer reduced fees, so please ask for more information if you want to work with me and require some financial consideration.

Payment

Payment by check or credit card is expected at the time of your counseling appointment. I use Square; there is a 2.75% service fee for the in-person use of credit cards.

Cancellation Policy

When we set up a time to meet, I set aside that time especially for you. I am unable to pass that spot along to someone else who may want an appointment if I do not know from you soon enough that you will not be coming. I bill for appointments missed without a minimum of 24-hours notice.
