In my experience, coaching tends to work best for clients who are motivated and ready for change. They feel generally positive about themselves and their lives, and want to build on what is going well to optimize their sense of personal and professional well-being and satisfaction, and to work toward new goals. They are looking for support in making the most of their present lives, and moving forward; they are not specifically looking for help in healing from or getting over the past. Currently, they may feel stuck or at a loss, and describe a sense of emotional pain or psychological distress as a result, but they are not excessively limited in their ability to move forward by feeling especially broken or sick, or being too hesitant to take action-steps in whatever direction they deem desirable. If, in the course of work with a coaching client, I believe that therapy would be useful or more appropriate, I will refer that client to therapists outside my practice. I often have coaching clients who have been in therapy previously (though not necessarily with me); these clients want to maintain the gains they made in therapy, and are looking to take their successes to the next level. I do coaching over the telephone or in-person in my office; conversations are 50-minutes in length, and scheduled on a weekly basis, whenever possible.

Please review the sample contract before we speak so that you can ask me any questions about it should you decide to move forward.
For four weekly 50-minute sessions per month, the cost is $480.
Payment is expected in advance each month, or in installments and on dates on which we’ve agreed. Payments for partial months will be prorated. Payments are to be made to Thought Tonic, LLC, either by check sent to 819 E 64th St, Indianapolis, IN 46220, or by credit card.
Once our conversations are scheduled, I request a minimum of 24-hours notice if you must cancel, and to reschedule; fees for appointments missed without this notice are forfeited by the client.
