Schedule with Scott Kahler

You can schedule your video or phone session with Scott Kahler at Thought Tonic via the Client Portal. See the information below for options and directions. For information about fees, visit the Fees/Insurance page. Please note that Scott is currently offering only phone and video sessions.

Prospective or new clients

You may schedule one of the following:

  • A free prospective client consultation by PHONE or VIDEO
  • A first individual therapy session via TELEHEALTH (PHONE or VIDEO) — called a “Psychiatric diagnostic evaluation without medical services” in insurance-language
  • A life coaching session by PHONE or VIDEO
  • A clinical supervision session by PHONE or VIDEO

Existing clients

You may choose one of the following:

  • An individual therapy session via TELEHEALTH (PHONE or VIDEO) — called “Individual Psychotherapy, 45 minutes”
  • A life coaching session by PHONE or VIDEO
  • A clinical supervision session by PHONE or VIDEO
  • A couples/family therapy session via TELEHEALTH (PHONE or VIDEO) — called “Family psychotherapy with patient present”
  • A couples/family therapy session via TELEHEALTH (PHONE or VIDEO) without the person present whose insurance is being used (if you’re getting receipts for filing claims on your own behalf) — called “Family psychotherapy without patient present”

How long are sessions?

Free prospective client consultations are scheduled for 20 minutes. All individual therapy, life coaching, and clinical supervision sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes. If you are interested in 30-minute sessions, please contact me for more information.

What platform is used for video sessions?

For video sessions, I use Telehealth by SimplePractice; if you are a new client, you will receive more information about how to access this platform before our first appointment.

Client Portal

When you’re ready, just click the “Client Portal” button below.

Please note that Scott is not currently able to offer sessions with less than 24 hours’ notice; thus, you will not be able to schedule sessions with less than 24 hours’ notice via the Client Portal.

Existing clients can also use the Client Portal for secure messaging with Scott and access to billing information.

Clients with whom Scott has not met for more than 30 days may not be able to use the Client Portal to schedule their next session and may need to contact him by phone or e-mail.
